Chonger - Chonger is a pejorative slang term used mostly by wealthier teenagers in the geographical area of South Texas (in close proximity with the Mexican border) to describe a Mexican youth who adopts the oversized clothing and flashy gold ornaments that characterize Hip-Hop culture (Bling Bling, Ghetto Fabulous). People from outside of South Texas are often unfamiliar with the word, though its meaning is similar to the more widespread cholo.
Caddo Lake - Caddo Lake is a 25,400 acre (103 kmĀ²) lake and wetland located on the border between Texas and Louisiana, in northern Harrison County and southern Marion County in Texas and western Caddo Parish in Louisiana. The lake is named after the Southeastern culture of Native Americans called Caddo or Caddoans, who lived in the area from the 16th century until their expulsion in the 19th century.
William Curry Holden - William Curry Holden was an archaeologist and historian who taught for many years at Texas Tech University.
